So, I purchased STICKGOO peel & stick PVC backsplash tiles for my kitchen because the black granite tiles I had made the small room look quite dark. I just applied them over the granite as that seemed the easiest since the granite had been glued with construction adhesive to the wall. Here’s my observations:PRO’s:1. Very easy to cut if you have heavy duty scissors. Alternatively, you could use a utility knife and score one side, then use players to snap the pieces separate, but I found the scissors actually made a cleaner cut on both sides (front and back) of the cut.2. They DEFINITELY stick. Anyone who plans on buying these for a rental to remove later should think twice: they’re not coming off.Cons:1. While the look nice in the box, and on the wall, they clearly do not look like ‘stone’. I think it is a pretty obvious look once installed. Some area of a few tiles had the patter ‘crooked’ on the edges which is hugely noticeable after their installed.2. They DEFINITELY stick. Once they touch your wall - completely, partially, or minusculey (?), they.are.stuck. There’s nothing getting these off save a fire - maybe - or tearing the tile apart in pieces, and even then, the adhesive tape remains. And it’s not that easy to install them STRAIGHT because of this hellish stickiness. And they don’t move, either! There’s no “sliding them into place” or adjusting them once they make contact with the wall (or other tile).I found the best way to apply these in order to apply them straight was to cut each row and install them individually. Regrettably, I did not think of this until I was 2/3 done and wasted about a half dozen sheets because they were sucked into the wall crooked and had to be removed (and destroyed in the process). Once I started applying the individual rows it was exponentially easier.Would I use them again? Hard to say. Do I recommend them? Yes, if you don’t mind the semi-fake look and and you are prepared to set your hair on fire installing them. I have no doubt these tiles will last longer than anything and everything else in the house.
